Our Mission and Vision

Mission

The Kyrgyzstan Ala-Too Trail combines and connects existing trail routes into one national trail,  promoted internationally as one tour product to:
  • Increase awareness of Kyrgyzstan as an adventure hiking and eco travel destination.
  • Support the socio-economic development of rural areas of Kyrgyzstan.
  • Leverage the long-established rural tourism network across the country for tour booking, including trail activities such as trekking, horseback riding, cycling, and cultural tours.

Vision

Through travel industry partnerships and promotion with KATO members, and international adventure tour operators, become one of the leading, well-known national trails in the world, on par with America’s Appalachian Trail and similar national trails around the world.
