Naryn Region

Naryn Region is the highest mountainous region of Kyrgyzstan, located in the central part of the country. It is known for its rugged yet breathtaking landscapes, vast pastures, and rich nomadic traditions.

One of the main natural attractions of the region is Lake Son-Kul, a high-altitude lake situated at 3,016 meters above sea level. Surrounded by alpine meadows, it serves as a summer pasture for nomadic herders.

The region is also home to the Sarychat-Ertash Nature Reserve, which protects snow leopards and other rare wildlife species.

Naryn Region is a perfect destination for eco-tourism, horseback riding, and experiencing authentic nomadic culture. Visitors can stay in traditional yurts, taste Kyrgyz cuisine, and immerse themselves in the untouched beauty of the high-altitude steppes and mountains.

Another remarkable site is Tash-Rabat, an ancient caravanserai carved into the rock along the Great Silk Road.
