The region’s main city, Osh, is often called the “southern capital” of Kyrgyzstan. It is home to Sulaiman-Too, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an ancient place of pilgrimage with sacred caves, petroglyphs, and stunning views over the city.
Osh Region boasts breathtaking natural attractions, including Alay Valley, a gateway to the majestic Pamir Mountains, and the Kyrgyz-Ata National Park, known for its picturesque alpine meadows and traditional nomadic pastures. The region is also home to Uzgen, an ancient city with well-preserved 11th-century mausoleums and a minaret, reflecting the area’s rich Islamic history.
